Arsenal have already spent millions this summer, but it looks like Mikel Arteta isn’t done yet. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners are close to signing Gremio midfielder Bitello for nearly £10 million. At 23, the Cascavel product is one of the most promising players in the Porto Alegre-based outfit.
Bitello boasts seven goals and four assists in 35 appearances across all competitions, though whether he’s ready to play in Europe remains to be seen. Transfermarkt claims his market value is €7 million, a number Arsenal can definitely afford considering how much they’ve been spending ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

While this would be an under-the-radar signing by the Gunners, there are many Brazilians already waiting for Bitello in north London. Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and young winger Marquinhos are already part of the Arsenal roster.
Arteta’s team heads into the new season with plenty of expectations. After falling short in the Premier League title race last term, Arsenal have been aggressive this summer by landing Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
