In her interview with CBF TV, the psychologist explained how her work with the team will be. “The idea of sports psychology has two main lines: one related to performance, results, and performance, and the other is about mental health,” Marisa said.

“I work on group cohesion, leadership, how to deal with anxiety, pressure, thought control, and various issues that they may have difficulties with. Sports psychology will specifically address these points to help them achieve the best technical and tactical performance,” she added.

On Monday (18), she had her first contact with the players called up by Dorival Júnior. On Saturday (23), the team faces England at Wembley in a friendly match that will mark the coach’s debut.

“Beyond all the performance aspects, I don’t forget about mental health, which is very important for us to work on, providing support to these athletes,” said the psychologist.

“I am very happy to be here. It is a great milestone, not only for me but especially for sports psychology,” concluded Marisa, who shared more details about her work with the team during the interview.
