The eight teams that are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League were fully defined this week. Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Borussia Dortmund continue in the race for the trophy.

The draw will take place tomorrow, March 15, at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. The ceremony is scheduled to start at noon local time (8 am Brasilia time), with live streaming on UEFA’s various online platforms.

First, the quarter-finals will be determined without any conditions. Clubs from the same country and those who met in the group stage may face each other. The eight balls will be in a large pot, and the first one drawn from each tie will determine the team playing at home in the first leg.

Subsequently, the pairings will be drawn to define potential matchups in the semifinals. Finally, it will be determined which team will be the home team in the final, for administrative reasons such as the choice of uniforms, for example, as the decisive match will be on June 1 at Wembley Stadium in London.

The quarter-final matches resulting from the draw will take place on April 9 and 10 for the first leg, while the second leg will be the following week, with matches on April 16 and 17.

Manchester City will seek to defend the title they lifted for the first time last year, while Real Madrid will try to establish themselves as the most successful team in the tournament after lifting the trophy 14 times.

PSG has never won the continent’s most prestigious tournament, and it would be a grand exit for Kylian Mbappé amid unofficial information that this could be his last season with the Parisian club. Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid has reached the final three times but left empty-handed on all three occasions.

Arsenal is another team still in contention that has never won a Champions League title. They reached the final in 2006, where they lost 2-1 to FC Barcelona after a goal by Brazilian Juliano Belletti less than 10 minutes from the end.
