Coach Tite revealed, in a conversation with Conmebol, that he roots a lot for the coaches who succeeded him in charge of the Brazilian national team.

Fernando Diniz was the first, but dismissed in January this year. Now, it"s Dorival Júnior"s turn.

“I rooted a lot for Diniz and I root a lot for Dorival. They are two people with whom I have a closer relationship. Dorival, in fact, I played with him. So, we have an affinity. I"ve known Diniz for a longer time as well. What I can wish for them is a lot of light and happiness. And I know the great degree of difficulty it is. I have the exact notion," he said in the conversation with Conmebol.

He also stated that his relationship with the Brazilian national team now is to make Flamengo thrive in order for the coach to have options and selectable players. In the current call-up, defender Fabrício Bruno gained international media attention for his solid performance against England. Ayrton Lucas was also called up by Dorival.

“To make Flamengo excel, to have the best possible production, to have all selectable athletes, and for him [the coach] to struggle more and more in selecting and having great athletes in their best technical condition to be available for the national team," he evaluated.

He also talked about his time leading Brazil and the South American Qualifiers period.

The experience brings more individual than I can, soon, verbally transmit to the athletes. But that"s how it is, the adrenaline is sky-high. Every game you play in Colombia, man, there"s high demand. If you play in Argentina, there"s high demand. If you play in Uruguay, if you play in Bolivia, there is. Before, it was said that, in terms of the national team, people, clubs respect the yellow jersey. They respect their country"s shirt. The pride each one feels in wearing their country"s shirt and facing Brazil or any other team, and that was at the World Cup, is impressive. So, it brings this component of more experience. The passage gave me this great opportunity of two World Cups. I recently saw an interview with Guardiola saying he would like to coach a national team.

“My work allowed me to spend six years, almost seven years with the Brazilian national team, with marks also in the two qualifiers. We are champions. Broke the record for points. Broke the record for number of goals scored, victories. That"s a lot. That"s a lot. The level of demand is very high. Two Copa Americas. One champion, one runner-up. Reached the quarterfinals in the World Cups, where I would have liked to go a little further. But that"s life too."
