The Santos central Eduardo Bauermann is part of the investigation carried out by the Goiás Public Ministry in the framework of the match-fixing case. More than 20 games from the previous season are being reviewed for this and the authorities are already beginning to point to some footballers.

As reported by CNN Brasil, in the specific case of Bauermann, he is being investigated for premeditated receiving cards. It is reported that the center-back would have accepted an offer of 50,000 reais (about 10,000 dollars) to do this on the pitch.

One of the games most investigated by the commission is the tie between Santos and Avaí, where the center-back received a warning. In turn, he is also being investigated for the game in Botafogo where he would have arranged his expulsion, which occurred due to the airy protests of the 27-year-old defender.

Although Bauermann has not yet ruled on the issue, several speculate that the Santos club will do so in the next few hours.
