Facing the home team, Brazil found themselves behind on the scoreboard twice and had to chase to equalize. It was a different scenario from the game against England, where the Seleção had more goal-scoring opportunities and could have had a more significant lead than the 1-0 scoreline. Rodrygo compared the matches and explained what was lacking against Spain.
“To tighten up the marking. Those were things we managed to do against England. I think it was only at the time of my goal in the first half that we really managed to press as we trained.”
