It was an open secret that Manchester City had already secured the signing of Savinho, the Brazilian gem who is currently shining at Girona, but whose rights belonged to the French club Troyes, a team that is also part of the extensive network of clubs belonging to the City Football Group.

In recent days, it began to be said that the English club had reached a definitive agreement with Savinho to incorporate him for the upcoming season, and that the only thing left to close the deal were the respective signatures, which, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, have now been formally documented on the relevant papers.

The Manchester City and Troyes have already signed the documents for Savinho’s transfer

The Italian journalist exclusively assures that Manchester City and Troyes have already signed the documents to seal Savinho’s transfer to the Manchester club, and that, for all intents and purposes, Savinho can now be considered a new reinforcement for Pep Guardiola’s team.

The duration of Savinho’s contract at Manchester City would still need to be defined, but given his young age, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was tied to the English club for more than five years.

As always planned by the City Football Group, Savinho is expected to remain at Girona until the end of the season, where he is shining and standing out for his individual skills, before being considered for Manchester City’s 2024/2025 pre-season.

Initially, the Brazilian would go through this “trial period” during the pre-season, and there is a possibility that he will stay at Manchester City to compete for a spot in the starting eleven. However, a future loan is not ruled out, under a definitive and long-term contract with the sky blues.
