After nearly two months without games, Ludogorets returns to the field following the winter break in European football with a title at stake. The Bulgarian champions and winners of the country’s cup last season, the team will face CSKA 1948 in the Bulgarian Supercup. Playing for the twelve-time Bulgarian champions since 2022, midfielder Pedro Naressi is one of the Brazilians on the team roster.

Having been part of the Bulgarian League and national cup victories last season and with over 60 games for the club, Pedro talked about another final at stake for Ludogorets and aims to add more trophies to his collection with the team’s jersey.

“Our first game back being a final right away is quite interesting. We know how important winning titles is, and for me, it would be the icing on the cake. Having won the League and the Cup with the club, winning the Supercup with Ludogorets would complete my trophy collection in this country wearing this jersey. We are working towards that, focused on seeking another trophy, crowning this good mid-season break, and boosting morale for the rest of the season, aiming to further solidify our place in the team’s history,” said Pedro.

Furthermore, the player, who had stints in Brazil with Red Bull Bragantino, Ceará, and Sport, commented on the team’s mid-season break during the European winter. Ludogorets spent the beginning of 2024 in Turkey preparing for the season’s return. The club is vying for another national title and is in the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League.

“We had plenty of time to work and fine-tune our team for the season finale. We had a good mid-season break, and our goal is to maintain the level we ended the year with, delivering excellent performances and achieving great results,” added the midfielder.

Ludogorets and CSKA 1948 will face off in the Bulgarian Supercup next Saturday (10) at 10 a.m. (Brasília time).
