This Friday (9), in the Adib Cup, Daniel Bessa has an important commitment with Ittihad Kalba in the United Arab Emirates. Against Al Ain, the midfield team starts the semifinals of the national competition aiming for a spot in the final. It will be his first match of 2024.

“As it is a knockout stage that could lead us to play in a final, something unprecedented for the club, it is certainly one of the most important matches for me since I arrived here. We are aware of the difficulties, but we have prepared very well for this moment and we are focused on playing a great game and achieving a good result,” analyzed the Brazilian.

Bessa is coming off a great season in the Emirates, with seven goals and five assists in 14 matches. It’s the midfielder’s second year in the country. In recent days, he had his contract renewed and extended until 2026.

“I was very happy about the renewal. We had been talking, I still had six more months on my contract, there was even a possibility of returning to Brazil, but we reached an agreement and it was great for everyone. I hope to continue helping the team in the best way possible and, who knows, with important achievements,” explained Bessa.

After the Adib Cup match, Ittihad Kalba will resume their commitments in the Emirates League, with a game on Tuesday (13) against Khorfakkan. Their last match took place in 2023, on December 23, in a 2-1 defeat to Bani Yas, with an assist from Daniel Bessa.
