Spurs forward Lucas Moura scored the equaliser for his side away at Manchester City on Saturday- just 19 seconds after coming off the substitutes bench.

Moura’s goal proved decisive in a creditable 2-2 draw for Spurs and the Brazilian was delighted with yet another key contribution for his side.

“It was a crazy game!” he told Tottenham’s official website. “My first touch of the ball and I scored, that was unbelievable. I’m so happy to help my team-mates get a good result here.

“We know how difficult it is to play here against City. We made a lot of effort. It’s a good result. Of course, we have a lot of things to improve but we did very well and we need to keep it this way.

“We know City have a lot of quality, ball possession, and it’s so hard to play here, but the most important thing is to enjoy the opportunity.

“We were so compact, we had few opportunities but we scored two goals. That’s most important. We need to get points and not lose stupid points like we did last season.

“It’s the first time this has happened to me. I’m happy to score here against City with my first touch. It’s unbelievable!

“Congratulations to everyone and thanks to the fans for their support, they helped us a lot. With that spirit, we need to keep working because I think we can do big things this season.”
