Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has denied that he was drunk during Liverpool’s Champions League trophy parade last month- because Alisson drank all of his beers.
Klopp appeared to be quite ‘merry’ during the parade through Liverpool city centre, but the manager says Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson denied him the opportunity.
“People thought I was drunk on the city tour, but I was not, I just drank two beers! I just looked drunk. All the beers that were mine, Alisson drank!”
Klopp says his vacation felt better after winning the Champions League final, having lost the final to Real Madrid in 2018.
“Last year, my agent called me on vacation and asked if I was okay. I said, ‘Well, I’ve been through this. I would not feel better if the cup was here by my side. Now, I know this is a big lie. It’s very different with the cup next to me.”
