The CBF have confirmed that Brazil will play against Czech Republic in Prague in the March international break, as they ramp up preparations for the Copa América in June.

Tite’s side will take on the 1996 European Championship finalists in Slavia Praha’s Eden Arena on Tuesday, 26 th March.

“It is an opponent that brings the characteristics that the technical committee wants for this preparation period for the Copa America,” said Selection co-ordinator Edu Gaspar.

“In addition, the training and playing structures are great and offer all conditions.” The sides have only met once before, in December 1997 with two Ronaldo goals sealing a 2-0 victory for Brazil.

Brazil will play another friendly in Europe a few days prior to this match in Prague, with Germany rumoured to be potential opponents. That game will be confirmed in the coming days.
