Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is happy Alisson has made his first mistake as Liverpool goalkeeper without it impacting on their points tally. An Alisson error allowed Leicester to reduce the deficit in the Reds; eventual 2-1 win at the King Power.

The Brazilian was caught dwelling on the ball by Foxes forward Demari Gray, setting up a tense finale. Alisson is renowned for taking risks with the ball at his feet, but it backfired on this occasion.

"To be 100% honest I am really happy it happened because we don’t have to wait for it now. You need a lot of things to do the things he’s doing and one of those is confidence. He’s 0.0% arrogant. I’m pleased with his reaction.

"It’s a big mistake and everyone was waiting for it after last week: he did it, the [Leicester] crowd were on their toes but he was still cool. That’s the only thing I’m interested in. I don’t look for anyone responsible: the final [mistake] was Alisson but we should have cleared the situation before."
