Everton boss Marco Silva has urged Brazilian forward Richarlison to learn from his red card at Bournemouth on Saturday and ignore provocation.

The Brazilian had scored 3 goals in his first 2 games for the Toffees, but found himself red carded for thrusting his head at Bournemouth’s Adam Smith.

Richarlison will now serve a three match ban and his manager Marco Silva insists the 21-year old must learn to curb his temper.

“Of course he can’t react in that moment, even if somebody provokes or fouls him,” said Silva. “It’s normal at this level, you have to play football, just play football, nothing more.

“Do what is your job, where you are strong, do the things in normal life, and forget the other things. He’s a boy, he has to learn, it’s a daft moment for him and for us but he has to learn fast.”
