One of the most promising talents from the youth team of São Paulo, attacking midfielder Marquinhos Cipriano is being monitored by Arsenal and Juventus, thanks to his performances this season for the U17s.
According to the information from ESPN Brasil, representatives of the two European clubs have maintained contact with the player’s entourage to know about Marquinhos’ situation. However, the 17-year-old has a €30 million clause in his contract, and São Paulo have no intention of selling him at the moment. He’s considered as one of the best prospects from the youth team, and the club also believes that he has the potential to break into the professional side in the future. Marquinhos Cipriano has scored 14 goals in 12 matches this season, averaging more than a goal per game. The player, born in Catanduva, was signed by São Paulo in September last year. Marquinhos was also observed by Colombian coach Juan Carlos Osório, when he was in charge of the professional team.
