Zinedine Zidane is staying as Real Madrid coach following the team’s UEFA Champions League glory, and with an eye on next season, Los Blancos have reportedly put two Brazilian players in their “Operation Clean.”
According to the information from Spanish newspaper SPORT on Wednesday, Real Madrid are ready to sell Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva and right-back Danilo, in addition to Isco and James Rodríguez and the Mateo Kovačić. The newspaper labels the season of Danilo as “horrible” and that he did not meet the expectations placed on him by supporters. Real Madrid signed him for around €35 million following his excellent performances for FC Porto in Portugal. Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez will try to recoup a part of the high amount that he had invested in the defender. Former Cruzeiro man Lucas Silva hasn’t played for Real Madrid in the 2015/16 season, as he was loaned out to French side Marseille. Lucas is not in the plans of Zidane for the upcoming campaign, and is also expected to leave.
