The contract of Paulo Henrique Ganso with São Paulo ends in September next year.
Two clubs from European football have been impressed with the performances of São Paulo playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso, and they even made enquiries recently to sign the player. According to the information from Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla, and Italian club Sampdoria have initiated talks with Ganso’s agent Giuseppe Dioguardi. However, both clubs plan to count on the 26-year-old only after the end of his contract with the Brazilian side. It’s important to note that São Paulo’s initial proposal for a contract renewal was rejected by the player. A friend of Ganso, who has been following the movements in the market, said: “They do not want to pay the €10 million fee that São Paulo have asked to do business.”
To convince Ganso to wait another 15 months before moving to Spain, Sevilla would’ve promised to pay him €3 million, while the offer from Sampdoria is €2 million. São Paulo have struggled to meet the staff of Ganso to propose a new contract, and the last three dates suggested by club director Luiz Cunha were rejected.
