Team coordinator of Brazil"s national side, Gilmar Rinaldi, confirmed that coach Dunga will lead the nation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this year.
Gilmar Rinaldi tried to rule out any possibility of another professional being chosen by the organization. Brazil"s U23 side were led by coach Rogério Micale throughout their preparation period where they played a number of friendlies. He was in charge at the Pan American Games in Toronto last year, and also the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand. Gilmar was talking to the press after the group stage draw for the Olympic Games, held at the Maracanã on Thursday. He said: “There has never been this discussion [about leaving out Dunga]. It"s been two years with the same planning, and I can guarantee you that this has never been discussed in the Brazilian football federation."
