Barcelona striker Neymar has once again expressed his big desire to be in Rio de Janeiro and represent the country in the search for an unprecedented Gold medal.
Neymar himself knows that the pressure is high because Brazil have never been victorious in the competition. In 2012, he played in the 2-1 final defeat to Mexico at Wembley. The attacker also joked about his 4-year-old son Davi Lucca and his interest in football. He told GOAL: “It is difficult to send a message to Brazilians and promise something. The only thing I can assure them is that I will do my best to honor our shirt, with all my strength and my game, so we can get as far as possible.”
He added: “I do not think my son understands that he has a famous father. He knows that I play football. I think my son wasn’t born for football! So far he doesn’t like football, but we’ll see what happens! He’s only four.”
