Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has been impressed with 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder Allan de Souza, who’s currently at Belgium side Sint-Truidense.
Klopp has hailed the former Internacional youth player as an “outstanding talent” with a “good attitude.” Allan came through the youth system at Internacional, but after impressing in the Frenz International Cup last year, he was bought by Liverpool for a fee of £500,000 in the summer. Allan spent two months on loan at Finnish side SJK, scoring two goals and making five assists in eight appearances as he helped the club win the national title the first time. Klopp said during a press-conference: “When I came here, one or two months later Allan was here and I was like ‘who is this?’ I saw him in training and I thought ‘oh my God, what can we do to keep this boy here and bring him into the line-up?’ He’s 19 years old, an outstanding talent, a good player with a good attitude, everybody loves him, he’s a nice lad, so that’s really, really good. He’s a smart player.”
