After Jádson, Renato Augusto, Edu Dracena and Ralf, Brasileirão champions Corinthians have practically defined the sale of their goalkeeper Cássio to Turkey. Both Globo Esporte and UOL Esporte are reporting that Cássio’s destination is most probably Beşiktaş. He was impressed with the conditions offered by Beşiktaş, and is now waiting for an agreement to be reached between the clubs, and also an approval on the salary request made by his agent Carlos Leite to the Turkish team. On Wednesday, Corinthians started preparations for the 2016 season and Cássio admitted to his colleagues that a meeting on Thursday should confirm his exit.
Fenerbahçe had made an enquiry for Cássio last summer, but talks between the clubs did not advance. Although they’ve once again made an approach this holiday season, Beşiktaş have a concrete proposal on the table.
