Italian newspaper Correio de Povo reports that Grêmio are interested in signing Chelsea’s Brazilian right back Wallace for the 2016 season.
Wallace, who signed from Fluminense in 2012, is currently on loan at Carpi in Italy.
Wallace joined the London club in 2012 but has yet to play a competitive game, having taken in loan spells at Inter Milan, Vitesse and now Carpi. Wallace has struggled to make an impression and Chelsea may well be ready to cut their losses, with Grêmio said to be interested.
His current contract at Chelsea runs until July 2018 and there appears little prospect of him making it with the London club. Grêmio are keen to reinforce their squad, having qualified for next year’s Copa Libertadores.
