The Brazilian Championship is coming to an end, and the league title is virtually impossible for second placed Atlético Mineiro.
Midfielder Giovanni Augusto has had a big turnaround in 2015, and was one of the team"s key players this year. The midfielder had a good Brazilian Championship with AtléticoMineiro, scored goals, provided assists and managed to start a large number of games. The transfer window is approaching and when questioned about his future, he said he does not think about it.
After resolving the legal problems with the club, Giovanni renewed his contract with the club until 2018, but this does not guarantee his stay. He said: “I am very happy for the recognition, it"s what every player demands. This year didn"t start very well, but I thank Levir [coach] for the opportunity he gave me. I"m happy about this moment, and I know the value when I put on that shirt. If proposals come,  it"s good. We know that the more players the club sell, the more money you receive. But I can say now that my head is at Atlético. I want to finish the year playing, as a starter. If there"s a proposal, I"m sure that Atlético will be able to deal in the best way."
