Although Liverpool are still seeking clarity and a definitive path after the arrival of Jurgen Klopp. The home defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday halted a run of three straight victories.

However for one player this change at the top has given him a new lease of life and the security of a boss that wants him at the club.

Lucas Leiva has played in all of this new coach’s games thus far and has become central to Klopp’s nascent Liverpool team.

The 28 year old has featured in ten of The Reds 12 Premier League games including every minute that Klopp has taken charge of.

This has helped the Brazilian become the player with the most tackles in the Premier League, winning the ball 55 times from duel’s surpassing Erik Pieters of Stoke City who has 51.

The former Gremio man has gone from being sidelined by Brendan Rodgers to being a lynchpin of the Klopp era. This is his ninth season at Anfield where he has made 288 games, which makes him Liverpool’s current longest serving player.
