Chelsea have been going through a very difficult period this season which see them sit 15th in the Barclays Premier League table.
On Wednesday, the Blues registered an important 2-1 win against Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev at Stamford Bridge in their fourth game in the 2015-16 UEFA Champions League group stage. Willian, who scored from a brilliantly taken free-kick to give Chelsea the win, insists that the team are trying to improve despite the difficult period. He told the club’s website: “Confidence is coming for us and the results are coming as well. We have to keep going and keep fighting on the pitch. We lost some games and it’s been difficult for us but we are trying to play better. We know we have to improve more and keep going in the same way.”
He added: “I think we played well but we had a difficult moment during part of the second half. They scored the goal but we fought until the end and I scored the second goal. It was very good for us.”
