Former Brazil captain Lúcio, currently playing in the Indian Super League with D.C. Goa, thinks Neymar can be a instant hit if he decides to leave Barcelona for Manchester United.
The 23-year-old star was linked to a transfer to Manchester during last summer, with reports from Brazil claiming that the Premier League side were willing to trigger his €190 million release clause. The player’s father recently confirmed that there was indeed a proposal from United, but Barcelona didn’t want to sell him. Lúcio told IBTimes UK: “The Premier League has a different style of play and should he join United, he may take time to adjust. Even if he goes to England, he will be successful in a short time as he is capable of adapting very quickly at United. I know Neymar, but not too well. He has achieved a lot at Barcelona and has also proved how good a player he is. He is a skilful player. If he is happy and comfortable at Barcelona, then he should remain there.”
