Struggling Vasco da Gama are reportedly hoping to draft in Argentinian midfielder Jonas Gutierrez in order to help them in their battle against relegation from the Brasileirāo.
Gutierrez was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2013 but recovered and last season scored the goal for Newcastle that kept the north-eastern side in the Premier League.
One thing that might stand in Gutierrez’s way is the fact that Vasco, who are currently bottom of the league, already have seven foreigners in their squad, when the limit to be included in a match day squad is five.
