Allan made his first appearance for Liverpool last night as their under-21s took on FC Luzern in a friendly in Switzerland.
The 18-year-old, a £500,000 purchase from Internacional, started in a central midfield position as Michael Beale’s side went down to a 1-0 defeat against the Swiss Super League outfit.
The youngster will almost certainly have to be loaned out by Liverpool initially as he is unlikely to succeed in being granted a work-permit to stay in the United Kingdom in the short term and will also benefit from the chance to gain regular first-team football in a European league.
