Manchester City are reported to have joined Juventus in the race to sign Porto left-back Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian has only one year left on his contract in Portugal, but his club are not believed to be keen to allow him to leave and are likely to ask for as much as £13 million, according to TMW. With Juventus reportedly unwilling to bid more than £10m, City could be well placed to take advantage.

Citizens boss Manuel Pellegrini already has Gael Clichy and Aleksandr Kolarov at his disposal in the position, but the pair did not impress last season and Sandro would likely be first choice should he sign.
