The Brazilian women’s team qualified for the second round of the World Cup in Canada last night with one game to spare, beating Spain by one goal to nil to make it two wins out of two for the tournament so far.

The Brazilians remained on top of their opponents throughout the match and scored their winning goal just before the break thanks to a realization of Andressa Alves. The third match against Costa Rica should now allow the coach to rotate his squad and rest any tired legs.
