Brasileirão based duo Pablo Armero and Edwin Valencia have been included in Colombia"s provisional squad for the 2015 Copa América.

Armero has been capped 63 times at international level and was a key part of the Colombia side that reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Valencia, in contrast, missed out on that tournament and has been capped on just 15 occasions since making his debut in a friendly against Poland in 2006. 

Elsewhere in Head Coach José Pékerman’s squad, there are four Premier League based players, including Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina and Manchester United’s Radamel Falcao. The former River Plate forward will be eager to impress, after missing last year"s World Cup through injury.

In terms of home based players, only three of the squad play in Liga Águila. They are goalkeepers Camilo Vargas and Cristian Bonilla, as well as defender Francisco Meza. The latter two are uncapped.

In preparation for the Copa América, Colombia will play a warm up match with Costa Rica on 6th June, before starting the tournament against Venezuela on 14th June at Estadio El Teniente-Codelco.
