Marquinhos heaped praise on “champion” Zlatan Ibrahimović after he fired Paris Saint-Germain to a 4-1 Coupe de France semi-final win over Saint-Etienne on Wednesday. Ibrahimović steered PSG into the final with a superb hat-trick, which took him past the 100-goal mark for the Ligue 1 leaders. He said: “The goal is really important for a striker and that’s how Ibrahimović will regain confidence. Ibra is a super player, important for the team and when he is on the field, he is always trying to help his team-mates and seeks the victory. He is a champion.”
