Cruzeiro have set their sights on midfielder Bryan Ruiz after he recently admitted his unhappiness at Fulham.
Ruiz was one of the stars of last year’s World Cup after leading Costa Rica to a shock place in the quarter finals.
One road block in the deal could be Ruiz’s wage demands but a loan move could be possible if Ruiz wants a quick way out of London.
Cruzeiro supervisor Benecy Queiroz has said the deal is in its infancy but is more than possible. He also said that Cruzeiro have more space in their squad for foreign players according to league rules.
“Do not worry about it. We can put five to play, but if we are to have up to 20 in the squad, there is no barrier in that regard.”
