The derby between Santos and São Paulo offered a great show to the fans at Vila Belmiro, even though the game ended goal-less.
Santos started with young sensation Geuvânio, who has had a fantastic start to the Paulistão this year, and created several chances but failed to break the solid Tricolor defense on top of a man of the match performance from 42-year-old veteran goalkeeper Rogério Ceni. At the end it was a fair result, and allows both Santos and São Paulo to remain undefeated in competition this year.
Palmeiras bounced back from a 1-0 defeat last weekend in the Clássico against Corinthians to register a convincing 3-0 victory over Rio Claro. Jonathan Cristaldo opened the scoring for Palmeiras, with Zé Roberto and Rafael Marques completing the score-sheet at the Allianz Parque.
