Brazilian youngster Adryan played for the first time at Elland Road recently and scored for Leeds United under-21 team to help them cruise to a 6-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers in the Premier League U21 Cup.

The highly rated Brazilian, on loan from Flamengo, is yet to make his senior debut for the Championship side but appears to be edging closer after this display.

Adryan played a part in three of the goals and scored a stunning effort himself to demonstrate his ability.

Leeds U21’s were already 1-0 up when Zac Thompson scored their second after Adryan linked up with fellow new signing Brian Montenegro to double the lead.

The Brazilian then smashed in the third and his first with a sweet strike after racing clear.

He set up Noel Hunt for the fourth too before Leeds added two further goals.

Academy boss Neil Redfern praised the performance of Adryan and Montenegro when he spoke to the official club website.

“I thought they all played their part,” said the Academy manager.

“I think you can see how these lads are integrating, they’re doing it really well.”
