Maicon is refusing to get carried away with Roma’s 5-1 over CSKA Moscow in their opening Champions League match.
The defender, who netted the third, is pleased with the result, but knows there are tougher tests to come.
“We started well, but there’s a lot to do yet. To win at the start in a complicated group like ours is important,” he told Sport Mediaset.
“We concentrate on each game, one at a time. We know it is difficult, but the other sides will have to concentrate too, as they are against a Roma team that wants to progress.
“I am in good shape, my teammates welcomed me back from Brazil and I hope to give my best.”
