Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has defended his loan move to Porto.
The 22-year-old has moved on loan from Reald Madrid to Portuguese giants Porto this season. At Madrid, where Casemiro arrived late in 2013, the Brazilian did not get a lot of playing time.
“I think coming to Porto was an important step forward in my career,” said Casemiro to Marca.
“Porto has a large structure, such as Real Madrid, and is also a great club. If things go well, it may not be a step forward, but three steps. After these first two months things are going very well.”
Casemiro does admit that he misses Real Madrid.
“We’re talking about the greatest team in the world, but I’m also surprised by Porto, both because of their organization and for their fans who support the team.”
I am impressed because of the quality of the team is very high, which is why I’m very happy because I believe that I have come to the right club.”
