Romarinho will leave Brazilian giants Corinthians later this week as he is set to be sold to Al Jaish in Qatar, as reported by ESPN Brasil.

Corinthians sought the services of Romarinho from Bragantino in 2012, but in the last weeks the player has found himself often benched as he no longers seems to be part of Mano Menezes’ plans.

In 2012 Romarinho played a key role in the final of the Copa Libertadores against Boca Juniors.

“The transfer will be finalized in the next few hours,” said Ronaldo Ximenes, Corinthians director of football.  “Certainly by the end of the week. We are concluding the negotations.”

In Qatar, Romarinho will follow in the footsteps of fellow Brazilians Nilmar and Anderson Martin, who also used to play for Al Jaish.
