On Friday a new era will begin for Brazil with a friendly against Colombia, but Chelsea midfielder Ramires finds it difficult to forget the World Cup disaster.

If Ramires starts against Colombia, it will be his 50th game in the shirt of Brazil. He was first called up in 2009 by Dunga. Ramires can’t erase the defeats against Germany and Holland from his mind.

“It’s is in the mind,” said Ramires, as reported by globoesporte.com. “Everywhere you go, there is someone who talks about it. We have to continue because we can’t forget it.”

“You can say it is a new beginning.”

“There are a few players from the World Cup, there are a few new ones. But it is a beginning with the intention to get Brazil where it belongs.”

“We want to play well and form a strong group. But there is no way to forget what happened at the World Cup,” said the Chelsea player.
