Brazilian giants Sao Paulo crashed out of the Copa do Brasil at the hands of Serie B strugglers Bragatino after the underdogs staged a superb second half performance to sneak through into the final stages.

Sao Paulo, so often the centrepoint of discussion regarding their multitude of expensive and well known stars, went ahead on the night through Paulo Miranda to go 3-1 up on agrregate.

However, goals from Cesinha, Gustavo Carbonieri and Guilherme Mattis put paid to the Serie A side, who now only have league competition to focus on for the rest of 2014.

Sao Paulo now have to deal with the pressures of managing their squad of big names, with the likes of Alexandre Pato, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Ademilson all playing in a losing team against Bragatino.

They sit in fifth place in the Brasileirao standings, and must now pick themselves up for a league match away at Palmeiras this coming Sunday.
