Juventus are interested in Benfica captain Luisão, according to reports.
Respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Serie A holders have contacted the 33 year-old’s entourage today to gauge whether he would be interested in a switch to Italy.
The Bianconeri are in the market for a new central defender and have been linked with the likes of Olympiakos’s Kostas Manolas and Cruzeiro’s Dedé.
Di Marzio insists, however, that Luisão is now of interest to them, with the veteran considered a cheaper and more reliable option.
Whether the Amparo native is keen to end his eleven year association with Benfica remains to be seen, while at Juventus he would likely not be a guaranteed starter.
