Bayern Munich defender Dante has publicly stated that he has the best interests of the team at heart and will accept any positional of tactical changes made by boss Pep Guardiola in the wake of Holger Badstuber’s return from a serious knee troubles.

In an interview with German magazine Kicker, Brazilian centre back Dante said: “It’s not about what Dante wants, believe me. I am happy so long as Bayern win, regardless of whether I’m playing. The team’s success is all that matters.”

“I am really happy that Badstuber is back again, not just as a rival for the centre-back position, but also as a person. It’s fantastic to make a comeback after such a long time out.”

“I am here to help him and if the coach were to decide that he’s the one who will start, then I wish him all the best in the world.”

Since joining Bayern in 2012 from Monchengladbach, Dante has gone on to win the Champions League, as well as seven other major club honours.
