Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has been withdrawn from the travelling party for Spurs pre-season tour of the United States and Canada.
The Brazilian midfielder has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer, however the club have released a statement which insists his withdrawal is due to a virus.
A statement on the official club website read: “Sandro has been withdrawn from the travelling party for the pre-season tour of United States and Canada.
“Sandro is recovering from a virus and has been kept behind on medical advice to avoid the risk of spreading infection.”
Alongside Sandro is Romanian defender Vlad Chricihes, who isn’t travelling due to a back problem.
Rumours have already start on Twitter and various other portals, though, suggesting the Brazilian will be leaving and this announcement is so he can arrange a transfer elsewhere.
Zenit St Petersburg are the latest club linked with Sandro and fans will be anxiously holding their breath to see if the 25-year-old will be remaining at the club.
