The German kit manufacturer today announced a mammoth ten year kit deal with the English giants worth £750 million.
In announcing the deal, Adidas placed the Rio de Janeiro club Flamengo alongside other giants of world football, in a statement likely to bring warmth to the hearts of Rubro-Negro fans worldwide.
“Manchester United will enter the exclusive list of clubs currently in partnership with Adidas, including some of the top clubs in the world, such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Milan and (also from the start of the 2015/2016 season) Juventus,” said the company.
Flamengo fans should be aware, however, that their deal with the kit manufacturer is altogether more modest. The Gávea-based outfit will receive just £80 million for their ten year contract.
