The Arena Corinthians will have 4,000 more fans spectating England versus Uruguay this evening, according to local newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, who write that the crcuial Group D match will have a capacity of 66,000 for the game.

The stadium hosted Brazil’s opening game against Croatia last Thursday with just over 62,000 attending, with extra room being made available for journalists and their various guests.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 2000 GMT and is the second of six matches to be played at Arena Corinthians, which will also host one of the Semi Final games on July 9.

Corinthians’ new stadium toook for years to build at a cost of over £300 million; its capacity will reduce after the World Cup to 48,000 for the five time Brazilian domestic champions.
