Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari might well make changes to his perceived strongest XI when they take on Panama in their latest World CUp warm-up this tomorrow evening in order to allow some of his squad to attain full fitness ahead of the tournament’s big start in just over a week’s time.

Scolari told Brazilian television reporters: “For the first match we will follow what the medical department tells us. The group will be evaluated again over the weekend and then we will know who will be fit.”

Brazil face Serbia after Tuesday’s game in their final preparation and Scolari continued: “We don’t want to risk anything before the World Cup. For the second match (against Serbia) we will likely have all 23 players available and we will be able to set up the team the way we wnat.”

Panama perhaps belie their international reputation, as they currently sit in 35th place in the FIFA rankings and narrowly missed out on a play-off place for the World Cup itself.
