Atletico Mineiro have completed the signing of Brazilan attacking midfielder Maicosuel from Italian side Udinese after the player spent the last two years away from his homeland.
Full name Maicosuel Reginaldo de Matos, the playmaker has also spent time in Germany with Hoffenheim, as well as spells in Brazil with Cruzeiro, Palmeiras and, nore recently, Botafogo.
He has signed a five-year deal with the 2013 Copa Libertadores champions, and will be officially presented to the media and fans upon the resumption of the Brazilian domestic campaign following the impending World Cup.
Maicosule had left to join Udinese from Botafogo in 2012 for a fee in the region of £4 million.
