Barcelona right back Dani Alves has refused to be drawn on speculation surrounding his future after the World Cup, but does admit that the appointment of Luis Enrique as manager of the Catalan giants is an astute one.

The Brazilian told reporters: “I do not talk about my future. My head is in the World Cup, then we’ll talk.”

“It’s a good hire (Enrique at Barca). I think he knows very well the house, players, equipment and methods. He was a coach there.”

“I wish him all the success in the world because it is one of the best clubs in the world to work at.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Enrique’s installation as boss can sway Alves to stay at Barca, with media reports suggesting that the 31 year-old has his heart set on a move to PSG and the riches they have on offer in France.
