Luis Suárez Miramontes has advised Internazionale midfielder Hernanes not to try so hard when representing the Nerazzurri.

Not to be confused with the current Liverpool and Uruguayan striker, Luis Suárez, the former Inter player and manager discussed his former club during an interview with Tiki Taka this week.

The 78-year-old enjoyed huge success as a player with the Nerazzurri, although a lot less in a managerial role – he had three spells in charge, including two as caretaker boss.

Football Italia quoted the Uruguayan, Luis Suárez said: “From the outside it is difficult to judge.

“Earlier this season the team was alive, they played together for a result. Now they are a bit lost, I do not know why. The coach has, a little, lost the key to the problem.

“Hernanes’ vision of the game is very broad. For me, he must avoid overdoing it, he must start normally until the right moment arrives.

“Again, I appreciate his technique and vision of the game.”

The Brazil midfielder will hope to prove his worth this weekend when Inter face Sampdoria and try to keep alive their hopes of European football next season.
