Yesterday, Barcelona full-back Daniel Alves was the one to offer words of support for his under-fire colleague Neymar.

Today, it is the turn of Bayern Munich centre-back Dante to speak words of encouragement for the 22-year-old.

After helping to fire Brazil to Confederations Cup glory, Neymar moved from Santos to Barcelona last summer with great expectations.

Despite scoring 14 times for the Catalan giants so far this campaign, the attacker has drawn criticism for many who think that the money spent doesn’t warrant the modest returns thus far.

Nevertheless, Brazil team-mate Dante believes that this season is leaving Neymar in good shape ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Brazil and has tipped him to get even better.

“He is one of the world’s greatest talents,” the 30-year-old told Goal.

“Neymar is a top player, for sure. His attitude and confidence is tremendous and I think he will develop even more at Barcelona,” he completed.
